2016 Honda HR-V Test Drive

There's a new generation crossover in the Honda camp. It's the all-new 2016 Honda HR-V crossover. It comes in a smart package that's based on the Global Compact Series platform - the same structural engineering architecture as the Fit, but is larger in all physical measurements and featuring a surprising amount of cabin space in a compact crossover SUV form that displays an exterior that's very coupe-like.

2015 Honda CR-V Touring AWD Long-Term Update 4

The character of our long-term 2015 Honda CR-V changes when you hit the green Econ button or lower the transmission stalk into Sport mode-and thanks to Motor Trend track testing, we now have objective numbers to pair with my subjective feelings about these features. 2016 Wards 10 Best Engines Test Drive: Chevy Malibu v. Honda Civic

Small 4-cyl. turbocharged engines are all the rage, and General Motors and Honda offer up two that go head to head in this year's Wards 10 Best Engines competition. The 1.5L turbo-4s in the all-new Honda Civic and larger Chevrolet Malibu have several attributes in common: direct injection, 16 valves, two overhead camshafts, a single-scroll turbocharger, all-aluminum construction, variable valve timing, a 6,500-rpm redline and exhaust ports cast directly in the head. Both run on regular fuel...

How to Winterize your Honda Civic

Honda Civic drivers living in colder regions of North America can attest to the inherent tractability of this mighty compact FWD car. Great, how about seized engines, icy windshields and frozen wiper blades? Granted, many of our Civic readers may not have the budget to purchase a separate set of rims and winter-tread or studded tires. That's where a good set of "All-Season" or all-weather tires come into the picture.

Auto review: 2016 Honda Civic goes for European styling

Very few cars are completely satisfying. That one has plenty of performance but no perks. This one has lots of room but not enough zoom. The 2016 Honda Civic, in that respect, may be a perfect car. It delivers everything it promises and does exactly what it sets out to do. It's dependable, predictable, affordable and economical. Maybe that's why it's a little ... boring. This is a passenger vehicle with which no reasonable person could possibly find fault - or fall in love.

Honda Tests Deeper Waters With the Hydrogen Fuel Cell-Powered Clarity

We human beings are using fossil fuels at an astounding rate. While we're going to continue to find more, we will eventually run out. The new Honda Pilot rolls into the 2016 model year with a pricing spectrum that spans five trim levels and $16,425 from one end to the other, each step up tempting the prospective buyer with more goodies, right up to the fully loaded Elite model. Scott Sturgis' Driver's Seat: Honda HR-V is more like big Civic than smaller CR-V

Small crossovers are supposed to be all the rage now. An auto expert told me that any entry into that segment would sell like hotcakes. I decided to pit two of the newest comers to the category - the Honda and the Mazda - against a pair of perhaps unusual challengers. The CR-V and the Toyota RAV4 have both grown up over the last few years and really needed a baby brother in the lineup. On first sitting, it seemed Honda just didn't measure up to all my great expectations. That reaction mellowed a bit over time.

Long-term Update: Four Months in the 2015 Honda Odyssey EX

So we drive a 2015 Honda Odyssey. Other than this almost-poor-service issue, we haven't yet encountered any meaningful difficulty with our Odyssey, aside from a sunglasses holder that's too small, the dearth of a built-in maid who can clean up after children, and transmission logic that's improving but hasn't yet fully found its groove. The same can't be said for the all-new, third-gen 2016 Honda Pilot with which we recently compared our own Odyssey.

2016 Honda Accord Coupe V6 Quick Spin

Popular opinion is that Honda has not been a friend to enthusiasts in recent years. The company killed the awesome S2000, got away from building low-cost driver's cars like the CRX, ruined the Civic Si (on multiple occasions, most notably in 2002 and again in 2012), and kind of neutered Acura into a listless near-premium brand devoid of its original charm. But there are bright spots: We're finally going to get a Civic Type R in the US, and while the new NSX is a long way from the lightweight original, it's still an extremely impressive specimen.
