Return Your Leased Honda and Lease or Buy A New Honda

Buy Out Your Honda Lease

Buying out your current Honda lease can be a very attractive option. You don’t have to worry about mileage or wear and tear, and you can keep on enjoying your current Honda that you’ve come to know and love. If your circumstances change and your current lease no longer meets your needs you still have options. And one of those is letting us buy out your lease. We are constantly looking for high quality used cars, so it may make sense for you to let us buy out your lease. Simply contact us and we’ll be glad to help you explore your options.

If you’re like most people new to leasing, you have questions about what is the best option for you. That’s not a problem! Call us at (949) 713-2000 and ask to speak with a Lease Return Specialist who can answer all of your questions and help you determine the best option for you.

But no matter what you decide to do, you’ll want to start about six months before your Honda Leadership Lease expires.

Here’s a helpful outline of the lease return process.

Six months before your final payment:

Research the latest Honda models and explore current offers on RSMHondaOnline.Com. Then when you’re ready, Schedule A Test Drive so you can experience the amazing new Hondas for yourself.

Two to three months before:

  1. Contact Com to discuss the process for returning your vehicle and to see if you qualify for Honda Loyalty benefits.
  2. Schedule your end-of-lease vehicle inspectionthrough SGS. You can schedule your lease inspection online by visiting SGS or call 1-800-340-4080. Please have your HFS account number and VIN available.

Your Honda Leadership Lease includes an Excessive Wear-and-Use or Damage Waiver; however, you will be responsible for any wear or use that exceeds the waiver. You will also be responsible for any outstanding payments, excessive miles, and any other outstanding obligations specified in your lease agreement. You will receive a Vehicle Inspection Report following the vehicle inspection. Read more about Vehicle Inspection and Wear and Use Guidelines.

One week before:

Call us at (949) 713-2000 to make an appointment to return your vehicle to RSM Honda.

At the appointed time:

Deliver your vehicle in clean condition. It doesn’t have to be detailed, but please make sure it is clean and all of your personal items have been removed.

Please bring the following items with you:

  • All keys to the vehicle
  • Owner’s Manual and maintenance records
  • Vehicle Return Receipt
  • Vehicle Inspection Report
  • Receipts for completed repairs

After you turn in your vehicle:

Contact the Lease Maturity Center at 1-800-708-6555 to inform Honda that you have returned your vehicle.

If all payments have been made, your call will initiate the completion process for your lease account, and you will no longer receive a regular monthly billing statement.

If you have payments remaining on your account, you are responsible for making them.

If you return your Honda to a non-Honda dealer that has agreed to make the final payments, follow up with them to ensure they are made on time.

If any end-of-term liabilities apply, these items will be billed at a later time.
